Absolutely true - in 1976 my It Only Takes A Minute (in the news this week!) sold 450,000 vinyl singles to get to No9; 15 years later Take That, on CD single, vinyl, cassette and other formats, sold about 80,000 to reach the same chart place!

It probably sold more to get to no.22, then most of Westlife's hits sold to get to no. 1.

A sad reflection on Charts and Hype Robbie - I remember when I had tiny little hits like Lazybones (around No22? in 1971) which sold over 200,000 copies and are remembered to this day. But you're right - Flying Without Wings is the only Westlife hit I know - even though others won our Record of the Year Award, I can't remember them.

14 number ones, can anyone remember any of them apart from "Fly without wings". It would be a travesty if they beat the beatles record.

Don�t worry, ITK, they will now extend their �Farewell Tour� well into next year, take a year off to fulfil solo projects, which will all fail, and then reform again. (Just like Steps have just done!)
