david despite the recent result in the EU I still think BMG will happily part
with some music units.

Also I think Warner still want to sell their business or have it merged.

Just because the EU stated their position doesn't mean these big hitters
will put the brakes on with their plans. Far from it I imagine.

DJones After the recent EU-anti-merger-ruling (Sony BMG)a take over of BMG Music Publishing by UMG, EMI or WMG seems (at least to me) unlikely.

Among the majors only Sony could take the risk and buy the publisher together with Bertelsmann
terrylamps Whatever the truth it's unlikely to be found in Music Week....at least not until every other outlet has run the story!!!
Ivor Music Week continues to include a management buyout at BMG Publishing as a possibility - all other press sources last week stated that this had been excluded from the 2nd round - whats the truth?
