Jonathan King's Crystal Balls The A&R at Syco is extremely poor. Probably people who don't even buy music or listen to it much.
andrew Cowell has never got it right The Z I mean X Factor is for his benefit and drops them like flies after the artists done what they can. I never do it I don't want to be mind controlled by a Tom Cruise wannabe.
JK2006 Which says more about the parlous state of Sony than anything about SyCo.
DJones According to my information (which is about 15 months old) Syco was responsible for 10% of sales ($300m) and 25% of the profits ($40m).
JK2006 Inside information arrives that, whilst SyCo is responsible for 40% of Sony's global sales, the profits are far lower than they should be and the general view of SyCo A&R is as devastating as I suspect. I stress that this is only a rumour. But I would not be surprised if the spotlight is poised over SyCo and the assumption that the label is the saviour of the corporation is founded on sand. Good publicity, great press, high TV ratings and nice chart positions do not always reflect sales.

Especially when the music is lousy.
