I wasn't, JK. Though the label was "London", which I believe was the imprint used by American Decca signings, I assumed it was before you had any influence there. (But I did wonder if you knew who may have been responsible). |

I did notice. One of those songs that you hear from time to time and assume was a hit many years ago. I wonder what went wrong. Who was running his record company in the UK at the time? |

Interestingly, the latest "Virgin Book of Hit Singles" (the one with the orange cover), describes Dobie Gray as "US, female vocalist (Lawrence Brown)"
Mind you today's Music Week says on page 38 that Apple Corps [The Beatles' company] is still being run by Neil Aspinall. |
