Martin K Joe allways finds covers of his work "interesting". He and his band(s) are rarely found to slag off anything if ever.
When I last saw him live, he covered the Tori Amos version of one of his own songs for this reason, and I know he enjoyed Anthrax`s "Got the Time", as well.
Well spotted MMC, and well done Randoms, on Nathans great re-mix, I have not heard the original yet.
MMC I know for a fact that Joe contacted the band and their management team in Sydney, to compliment the band on such a great cover.
steppin out that has to be one of the worst cover versions i've ever heard. they have totally missed the point of the original which was plaintive and heartfelt...not just a regular pop song. joe jackson would hate this.
