Notcyrilshane re GG's sale of recordings & copyrights:

Perhaps the press made this up by combining the fact that he accepted a fixed fee (£30 - not bad for the times) for his vox on the Jesus Christ Superstar album, hence "sold his rights", with the sale of his pile in the West Country many years back for £150K. In their eyes he'd therefore sold everything.

Maybe Gadd's flush with cash. The movie The Full Monty alone would have done him proud.

An aside: Ian Gillan apparently coined £10K from the Superstar sessions because Edwards & Colletta (Deep Purple managers) opted for a miniscule points deal as they reckoned the LP was worth taking a chance on.
David Mc I read in many places that he has sold his rights but can find no confirmation.
andrew Very poor at lip syncing how much is GG worth today ?
Notcyrilshane He sold all his rights, can-not have got the best deal surely?
Chris Retro Wasn't it awful though! He was obviously drunk, the whole spectacle was quite embarrassing - and this, pop pickers, was the "talent" our friends at the Tabloids sponsored and turned into a "legend" before they turned him into a "monster"!
I think his first 6 hits are absolute magic, his next 4 or 5 ok but after that it is nearly all utter crap. And yet by 1997 our friends at The Sun & NOTW had kept his star shining so brightly he was making cameo's in the Spice Girl film!
