The stars of Me Me Me the movie - they played me a couple of their new tracks (excellent) - they are with the management who were behind The Wanted and The Saturdays - thoroughly nice and intelligent young men with a genuine love of music.

They admire the magic sound of Phil Spector but had never heard Love Is All I Have To Give and thought it was fabulous.

I do find it sad that, due to the dire state of global radio, this generation of teenagers and twenty somethings miss out on so much brilliant music. No filters; thus no mass popularity; thus no awareness of the less obvious great sounds of the past.

Whenever I host this generation I play them fantastic music from the 60s and 70s and watch their delight as they hear real mass appeal sounds.

Many years ago two executives - Obie and JK - supported the efforts of The Brits School to get established and grow (those bloody trips to Croydon!). At least our efforts appear to be paying off as global success in music seems to be emerging from those buildings. Makes all the journeys and speeches worthwhile.
