The "duet" format idea was sadly misguided - the best duets demand that each singer tries to make the partner look BETTER, not worse; the winner should be someone who undersings in order for his or her partner to shine at their best.
Let's hope we can forget this entire weekend and pick up next weekend at the high standard The Voice achieved in the first few weeks.

I caught a bit of that and I wasn't sure what it was trying to be.
Maybe this is the way it should be ...

Right JK, what a terrible engineered format this has turned out to be.
After the first few "sing off's" I was able to predict which act they would choose as it was never the better singer, it was the one they thought would be more interesting for TV. The fat bloke with terrible dress sense and hideous glasses, the bald girl etc. etc.
I switched off after a while and won't be watching again. Why is it called "The Voice"? It should be called "The Ratings".
Pathetic.

Reggie Yates has never had a single pore of talent. An awful actor (late night ITV1 school show with Charles Dance). He has destroyed the remaining entertainment value of the chart show. If anyone stands in it is in a different universe for being so much better. He simply cannot be in front of a camera or behind a mic. No brain cells. I've never met anyone who rates him. Come forward now?
