IA in The UK Back in the 50s my mother worked with her mother in the Welsh Electricity board offices in Cardiff.
She may have all the talent in the world, but her rudeness put lots of people off her.
JK2006 describe Shirley Bassey - in their photo of all the Royal Dames at Buck House - as "Welsh singer known for her foghorn voice"? They are most respectful of all the other Dames. Shirley is an absolutely terrific singer - one of the greats - and a superb performer.

But the worst thing is that there is no publication or organisation in our music industry with the balls or knowledge or reason to care to compain about this. Or even notice.

Except The Tip Sheet.

My God, we'd have demanded a full page apology in our heyday.

So I demand it, on her behalf and on behalf of an industry which gets no respect from the media.
