dixie Fi you are a PROFESSIONAL MUSICIAL it has always been about the money to some extent, otherwise you're NOT a professional musician.

Your comments are good 20 years out of date. The big money is long gone, many people are doing it for the art these days, it depends what your focus is.

Besides, it's also been proved time and time again that big rewards fuel creativity. When the writers are hungry for it they're at the top of their game, The Beatles, Elton John, Billy Joel, Burt Bacharach, Sting... there's a huge list of writers who's creativity dwindled once they'd made it.
