JK2006 I just advise and suggest J&B though Alex does seem to think I talk sense.

And we're talking new model in how it sells, how it breaks, where it gets heard, how he develops his career - that's the new model.

Ingredients like good songs, well performed, how to project himself - those sensible ideas are as old as the hills.

New model is buying e-books on Kindle; it's not how they are written.
Jaded and Bored With all due respect JK having read the interviews and also all your posts talking about the new model
it seems that you are deceiving us all. Either Alex is doing it for himself (new model) or you are pulling
his strings (old model).Judging by what you have posted below, the latter seems to be the case so stop
banging on about it being the new model because there is nothing new about what you are doing with Alex.

"Alex wrote Good Morning Sunshine PH but our attitude is - he should record great songs; not just songs he writes. He is continuing to write but I don't want to limit or curtail his development as a singer and performer."

and "Lastly - new young audience for the song and, most vital, Alex and Carrie pronounce centrifugal correctly (centri-few-gall not sentri-figgle) - I insisted!"

Also why aren't you upfront about it in the interviews. I read the one on Hypebot and Alex seems to be
confused with what he is doing. I think it's because you are dictating to him what to do and say and it's not
all from him. Ps no mention of JK's involvement anywhere on the net. Why?. Is he ashamed of you or what?
JK2006 I think making it a duet is a pretty radical change - and our version is more pop and slightly less country.
Plus Faith's superb original (she didn't write it, incidentally) which we championed on the Tip Sheet in the 90s, wasn't nearly as big a hit as I felt it deserved to be.
Lastly - new young audience for the song and, most vital, Alex and Carrie pronounce centrifugal correctly (centri-few-gall not sentri-figgle) - I insisted!
Pumpkinhead PS .. I also have nothing against covers but I recently heard Faith Hill's version of "This Kiss" and the two versions (hers and Alex Day's) are so alike that I don't why they bothered doing a new one. There is nothing wrong with that .. but it's not even a new interpretation. I just miss the point .. I guess.

This is not really meant as negative criticism .. just feedback.
Pumpkinhead ah .. I didn't really know the song but I thought I knew the title, but I was getting mixed up with "Good Morning Starshine" ... apologies to Alex.
