I don't actually know anyone from my generation who watches The Brits. That may mean nothing other than that I mix with the wrong type of people .. or it could mean that there is a rift between the official music world and the average music fan. I've got no idea but I just thought I'd mention it. |

How comes morons like James Corden and Russell Brand get good jobs for being arrogant and unfunny they might as well ask Steve Coogan host the Brits as Saxondale. |

Yes and I thought he was fine but the BPI and, sadly, our entire industry is totally lacking in imagination these days.
We need a Brits (like we did when I took over) to galvanise the world, get great ratings, expose good music to millions and millions of potential fans, to amuse us, intrigue us, interest us; get us talking, remembering, digging out our old vinyl... buying new downloads. A Brits linked to iTunes and You Tube. A Brits for 2013.
But no, the not-at-all great and good in the music industry settles for adequate.

That's what I'd do if I was still in charge - they are so good on Pointless.
But will our deeply unimaginative and totally useless BPI ask them? Shape the show differently? Make it interesting?
