Metal Mickey It was an OK show, but far, far too long, and with some strange decisions being made - 2 songs for Emili Sande and lots of facetime for Jessie J? George Michael doing one of his least popular tracks and a new song? And how did Russell Brand get in, let alone the Kaiser Chiefs? The mini-showcases for Kate Bush & David Bowie without actually being present also imply they might have been in the running to appear at some point but ducked out, and Annie Lennox's appearance reminded me of the time when (as far as the Brits were concerned) she was the UK's only female singer, nominated for awards every single year, even when she hadn't released anything!
K Let's not forget Gym Class Heroes
Titanic Boy One could have made an argument for Dexy's Midnight Runners, too.
K The band Athlete would have been an obvious booking IMO
JK2006 Totally agree on Muse which was why I loved them. Elbow not at start but relentlessly half way; very good but far too much of them.

Far too much of ALL the starters - the music was repeated as the athletes came in.
