Aha!
"Peaches" by the Stranglers!
A theme tune and advertising campaign in eight classic bars in itself! |

Billie Jean by Michael Jackson for me. One of those that you know when it comes up what the song is and it is perfect for writing.
On another level i also like the Darkness by the Police a nice mix of reggae and jazz.
Also sorry JK Duran Duran had some very good basslines:
The Reflex, Notorious a couple of my favourites. |

I dont really have dusty vinyls Michael, I even have a new record deck.
"Disco Inferno" is a class act, nice one! |

"Funkin' for Jamaica". Ha! We probably have the same dusty vinyls hanging around the house.
One I forgot is "Disco Inferno", with the bass played by Stan Wade.

"I Want You Back", is a classic, Top Cat , well done, it is also extremely hard to play because of the rests written into it, and it also doesnt sound overtly musical, due to its commerciality.
I played this particular beast of a line with a soul band, and we spent quite a long time sticking it together with the brass section.
Here`s another..."Jamaica Funk" Tom Browne. |
