So you were doing the lot yourself (except pressing and distributing the vinyl of course) 37 years ago. A precursor of the way artists go a bout it in internet age; Alex Day being your protégé proves it can still be done.

I think it sold about 3 million globally - plus, of course, all those Now! type compilation albums that brought in a lot even though it was only one of about 20 hits on them. As producer, label and performer I got a pretty hefty royalty. |

I reckon you paid for the Rolls in other ways - maybe it was the royalties you received from publishing a certain Swedish group in the UK and RoI? I'm sure if you were to dig out your old MCPS/PRS statements - none of which have been put up for viewing here - I'd be proved correct.
