Is should be like it is in the "real" world (physical CDs).
You bought a copy, you own it and you can sell it -without any pay to artists, labels or writers.
But - the important point is - with downloads the buyer doesn't own the track he (or she) bought.
At iTunes (or similar shops) you only get licenses (rights). |

Thats an interesting one D.J.
How could the payment be collected, and would the file be transferred and the payment be made via Paypal?
Also? If downloads are re-sold over the internet, do they count twice as sale, as correct downloads, which are legal, are , I believe tagged in some way, as to be traced.Like it, a very interesting point. |

There's another advantage (for the record companies):
Try selling your iTunes-downloads (paid and owned) at eBay or Record & Tape Exchange |

Good speculation,Michael, but it is also worth throwing into the debating ring, that, the older generation may well be re-buying their old records off e-bay.
This of course, will not chart either. |

The top stuff being downloaded illegally does tend to be Top 20 material, for the moment. Could I speculate that the older folk are not interested in saving those 99 cents and prefer convenience?
