Absolutely disgraceful; indeed, it does illustrate that the media runs the judiciary. If, as is perfectly possible, he is innocent of the charges against him and only pleaded guilty because the trial judge told his brief he'd get a shorter sentence... it shows you should never Plead Guilty (as a certain great singer/songwriter sang a decade ago).

... Now that troubled individuals have seen how easily they can get their hands on compo, or manufacture an excuse for their own poor behaviour.
