Anyone interested in the world of Paul Bowles (The Spider's Web - his finest) and William Burroughs (Naked Lunch - not for me) or Joe Orton must read this before visiting one of my favourite cities, on the corner of Africa and both the Atlantic and Mediterranean, simultaneously embracing both oceans and numerous cultures.
