TOPIC: Obama - worst President in memory ?

Obama - worst President in memory ? 11 Years, 10 Months ago
I championed Obama ... I believed the rhetoric ... oh, how wrong I was !

He is rapidly becoming the wettest and weakest President that I can remember.

When seeking election he travelled to almost all the Middle East countries (remember the campaign slogan? "change" ?).

Where is the change Mr Obama?

He allows Israel (a country smaller than Wales !) to do all it can to scupper possible peace in Palestine (by continuing building on lands that are universally considered to be Palestinian).

His indecision has probably caused the chaos / gassing in Syria.
By not showing the Assad regime that he "meant business" he has inadvertently given the green light to go ahead and do what they want.

He says taking action in Syria will be difficult.
Maybe so. But the Yankers managed to "take action" in Iraq (where war crimes were NOT being committed on a daily basis), and where the "government" was not engaged in a campaign to exterminate all opposition.

They also managed to "take action" in Afghanistan (which is weirdest of all considering that MOST of the alleged Sept 11th hijackers were Saudi Arabian !)

Oh, he did also do a small bit for Libya - but ONLY after the UK / France had lead the way !

A US President is a very powerful man ... a weak US President is most dangerous of all.

Gen Keane, ex-Vice Chief of Staff US Army is speaking a lot of sense on Newsnight right now.

Cruise missiles to take out Assad command and control centres suggested.

If they had done something when I first suggested it 100,000 lives could have been saved and a million children would not now be in refugee camps

One must ask - is ITK living in THIS world?

Maybe an old guy who, when he awakes, feels the need to feed BS to all.

Posting rubbish on this otherwise fine site.

Why not bring the toothless one for a walk, instead?

ITK still believes the USA & UK have 2 different major political parties whereas in reality there is just one with 2 wings that vary ever so slightly in order to give the peasants the belief they have a choice.

Why would you have thought Obama would be good ?. He is Wall Street's candidate...Wall street is one of the most corrupt collection of ratbags on the planet.

I think I now believe JK is correct and voting is a waste of time except in Oz you get fined if you don't.

In what way, andrew?
He did attempt the hostage rescue from Tehran (and the hostages were in no immediate danger of slaughter).

I've said it before: on Healthcare alone, Obama goes down as a great President. Unlike ITK, I feel he should be castigated for helping kill innocent Libyans NOT for failing to kill innocent Syrians.

You are starting to sound quite delusional, JK ... would you have defended Hitler in the same way ? After all, Assad's crimes are only killing 100,000 people (so far) and encouraging every other tyrant in the world to do the same.

Fortunately, people like US Sen John McCain agree with me - edition.cnn.com/video/?/video/bestoftv/2...ia.cnn&hpt=hp_c1

What a huge embarrassment that was ITK, unemployment rised, streamlined the military, closed factories to save energy and wanted the people to wear sweaters who ever wears a sweater indoors ?

Ronald Reagan was the best.

... and so does the US Defence Secretary !

If the claims that Syria used chemical weapons prove true, a speedy response will be needed to prevent another such attack, U.S. Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel said.

"If, in fact, this was a deliberate use and attack by the Syrian government on its own people using chemical weapons, there may be another attack coming," Hagel said. "A very quick assessment of what happened and whatever appropriate response should be made."

"This is an international community issue; it violates every standard of international behavior," he said. "That said, the United States has never given up its own sovereign right to protect its own interests."

The president has said he does not anticipate using ground forces in Syria. Other military options could include airstrikes by fighter jets or cruise missiles.
