Some people thoroughly enjoy being offended and scour the channels looking for an excuse to call Ofcom.

Sadly the BBC now have a policy of "apologise and kill the story" no matter how trivial the complaints or how strong their defence may be.

This is why instead of taking the commonsense approach of saying "the invented stories about Jimmy Savile did not meet our high journalistic standards" they went into a tailspin and caused themselves further damage.

This is why so many creative people are bolting for the exits at the BBC. No chance of pushing boundaries or being genuinely creative. Their bosses will capitulate at the first sign of any grumbling. Shameful.

Shame the Independant can't tell the difference between an Episode & an Edition. Lunacy on it's own. I'd complain to ofcom about that, personally.

It's quite annoying, when a big company won't stand up & be counted. If they don't do it, what chance has anyone got?

There's not realling anything you are allowed to do anymore. You can't have any reasonable sense of humour, but apparently you can swear your arse off on TV, after 9pm...that doesn't add up in my book. Given the fact the language, you hear on the average bus full of kids...It's really quite atrocious.
