Maybe, my "support" is not that far away ! -
"Meanwhile, the USS Nimitz aircraft carrier and four other Navy vessels sailed into the Red Sea, in a move described by retired Admiral Gary Roughead, chief of naval operations during the 2011 strikes on Libya, as "prudent planning".
The US already has five destroyers and an amphibious ship carrying hundreds of Marines in the eastern Mediterranean".

President Obama wakes Up !!!!!
The US has a plan to help Syria's rebels bring down the Assad regime after launching military strikes, President Obama has said.
Mr Obama said again that military action against Syria would be "limited" but suggested a strike would go further than simply punishing President Bashar al Assad's alleged use of chemical weapons.
The president said he was confident that Congress would vote in favour of military action and called for a prompt vote on the issue.
During a meeting of congressional leaders at the White House, he said: "What we are envisioning is something limited. It is something proportional. It will degrade Assad's capabilities.
"At the same time we have a broader strategy that will allow us to upgrade the capabilities of the opposition."

Syrian helicopter shot down by Turkey 11 Years, 10 Months ago

Yet a further escalation of the situation.
Turkey shoots down Syrian helicopter.
2 million displaced overseas, a further 4 million displaced at home ... 120,000 dead so far ... sounds just like a country about to collapse (and turn into another bandit haven like Somalia?).
If ONLY they had listened to ITK !
This situation could have been dealt with quickly and effectively - now it has broadened, the lines have blurred, and every loony in the world is joining in.
Neighbouring countries have been destabilised, and are fearful of the chemical weapons held by the desperate regime, which is fighting for its survival.
Meanwhile other rogue nations will have been emboldened by the failure to act - this will be seen (rightly) as weakness, and something to be challenged.
All the signs are there for the build-up to World War Three.

JERUSALEM (Reuters) - Israel wants to see Syrian President Bashar al-Assad toppled, its ambassador to the United States said on Tuesday, in a shift from its non-committal public stance on its neighbor's civil war.
Even Assad's defeat by al Qaeda-aligned rebels would be preferable to Damascus's current alliance with Israel's arch-foe Iran, Ambassador Michael Oren said in an interview with the Jerusalem Post.
His comments marked a move in Israel's public position on Syria's two-and-1/2-year-old war.

A statement issued by George Galloway said the MP "had been negotiating for months with the Syrian government over the release of Dr Khan and was due to fly out this week to bring him home".
Mr Galloway said: "I think we will have to wait for clarification on how exactly he died but this is heartbreaking and devastating news for his family who have been working so hard for so long to secure his release, particularly because his freedom had been agreed and he was due to return with me in the next few days.
"My sincere condolences go out to his family whose pain is unbearable."

one year and six months is when Ed becomes PM
Even he does not believe that !
Let's hope your prediction is as accurate at your prediction for the Australian PM LOL !!!!!!!!
indeed I was correct on the OZ elections- in that I wondered why anyone would vote for a British cretin...(he won by 30,000 votes) and he will be consigned to the dust bin in under 3 years. Never has a new government been so unpopular within 3 months.
## thankfully we have The Greens who have the balance of power to control his excesses
I didn't count in the fact that Murdoch's media (70% of all Oz media) would run a relentless campaign claiming Kevin Rudd/ Julia Gillard were Nazis. Stalinists etc etc on every front page for 3 solid weeks.
Similar in the UK would be if every Fleet Street newspaper did the same.
since then I've never met so many (now) ex-Tories claiming 'buyer's remorse' as the country heads for high interest rates, high unemployment and a recession.
The difference is of course I take note when the world's most brilliant economists say the Aust. government under Rudd handled the 2007 letdown superbly and when Forbes International says the Gillard government was amongst the top 5 on the planet and the 2 top ratings agency give them AAA ratings ...but I cannot always gauge the moron factor.
you on the other hand.....
