It is quite disturbing how you cherry pick reports that favour your view whether it's some tosh about Milliband or Syria.
I have been monitoring the numbers all night and it's even less than usual..one party getting around 300K more votes out of 14 million. This has given them 30 more seats but over 20 are on a razor edge of 200-500 votes.
But The Greens have got one extra seat in The Senate and Labor another 11 which gives them & Labor the balance of power for 6 years so one party can rule the House of Reps and huff and puff but the Senate can reject any bill...as they have already been doing for 6 years.
So what usually happens is they have to do deals to get any bill passed and The Greens with now 11 seats can demand what they want.
Indeed...the far left now has the real power without the responsibility.
It's a win win situation.
