With so many JK projects to re-visit and with (I assume) JK himself owning the rights to most of his stuff these days I wonder what the chances are of CD re-issues of much of his material ever seeing the light of day?

I for one would love to get a CD version of the Sound 9418 album with extra tracks and a glossy booklet with notes on the record by JK himself! (lol) Oh, and why hasn't there ever been a U.K. records Box set released? The label released a lot of under-rated stuff in the 1970's and most of it is now lost forever. 'A Life In England' by Brendon is more relevant than ever these days and with 'retro' being really big these days I'm sure there would be plenty of interest.

In my humble opinion 'Pandora's Box' is JK's best early album of all. The amount of stuff JK was recording in those days there MUST be some unreleased stuff in the vaults to make a re-issue worthwhile surely? Mind you, as an amateur 'recording artiste' myself, I know that often unreleased stuff is unreleased for a reason (it's crap!) but sometimes there are a few gems that 'just didn't fit the album or project' that end up lurking in nowhere land.

Would be good to hear what JK thinks of all this? My only reservation would be if he decided to remaster a lot of the stuff. I'm not a fan of remastering in general as it takes the charm away from records that were recorded in an era and were created to sound a certain way to suit THAT era not be relevant in 2013.

Any thoughts anyone?

JK may correct me but weren't quite alot of the UK releases licensed-in stuff (and the licenses will have reverted by now)?

I'm thinking of Ricky Wilde, Lobo, Harlem Shuffle (or was it Shotgun Wedding?) etc ?

No; we do still own most of our stuff and many of the licensed tracks have been or can be relicensed. We'll be doing a Best Of UK very soon, in time for Christmas.
