ITK will be urging invasion of the USA next! 11 Years, 10 Months ago
Weapons of mass destruction kill dozens of Americans! Mad person using chemical - oops - weapons (guns) to kill innocent citizens! This must be stopped! Unless the regime destroys all its chemical... oops... guns, innocent people will continue to be murdered. It might even spread to other countries (like Norway), this use of chemical... oops... guns.

Unless all guns are destroyed... no, shrieks ITK, invade and kill NOW! Otherwise millions more will die! Chemical... oops, guns might catch on and be used against US.

Fortunately for the rebels in Syria, death by guns is less entertaining for the media than death by chemical weapons.

But watch out, rebels... beheading people is great for photographers and therefore great news for the media and even ITK seems to have a slight problem defending that form of murder against the other form of killing.

I suppose we'll have to wait until the new technology creates actual pictures of blood gushing from wounds and bullets destroying life (preferably children) until Mrs Obama or Mrs ITK starts saying "we must do something about chemical... oops guns".

Punters these days like simple and preferably photogenic excuses to advocate invasion and tax payer death.

I don't think so !

I've often said that it is loony to allow so many guns on the streets - but if that is what the people want, let them suffer the consequences !

School shootings, shopping malls shootings ... why not a navy dockyard; makes a location change doesn't it?

The American people have a chance to change their government on a regular basis, don't they?

I don't see tanks and aircraft bombing demonstrators, or those opposed to the government.

I don't see a regime so desperate (because the "enemy" is on their doorstep) that they have to resort to mass indescriminate chemical attacks).

But I do see a very wet and weak leader.
Someone who is afraid to take the lead.
Someone who sets "red lines" and then lets people walk all over them.

If you are not careful, JK, I will have to send John Kerry to force you to sign an agreement giving you everything you want !

There is a difference between being LIED TO by a PM, and being PM and having access to ALL the intelligence !

btw I think this "Special Report" (by Reuters) on the build-up to the current crisis is very interesting (and illuminating) -

Well, just shows how many people have been damaged by the last Labour government, doesn't it? ... that and "burying you head in the sand" in spite of the obvious and compelling evidence.

The astonishing (and inconceivable) thing is that some people would be prepared to trust a Labour government again ! - talk about loonies in charge of the asylum !

A very good example of an ITK ignoratio elenchi.

Not proving/showing a contradiction - and/or an irrelevant conclusion (Aristotle).

ITK is a master of this type of fallacy.

The talk is ONLY amongst certain people, Pattaya (those trying to "engineer" it LOL !)!

If you want to make a few quid put your money on the Tories (again) being largest party, and the Tory / LibDem coalition being renewed.

I think Nick Clegg's speech this afternoon has crushed all that !!!

===

"Labour would wreck the recovery"

"Labour had failed to set out its vision because it was "lazily assuming austerity would drive voters into their laps".

Actually he says he could work with either party...anything to keep himself around.

However he may not be about himself too long. Not only Red Ed who is considered useless.
