I love Geordies anyway and adore the Hairy Bikers series (plus his partner is a KING)... he's clearly a lovely guy with no ability on the dancefloor at all.

My son certainly has a thing for Susannah Reid.

I think the winner is out of her and Sophie Ellis Bexter.

I was surprised by Fiona Fullerton - she's not aged well - miaow, but she really hasn't - and poor Anton was probably better off back with Widdy than her.

Abbey Clancy looks like she'll be overmarked by the judges every week - there's always one each year and she looks set to be it this time; she's promising but her ludicrous self-absorption, coldish demeanour and constant hair-flicking won't go down that well with many women. The judges never seem to learn.

Feltz is clearly trying to act as if she isn't the stuck-up little madam that she really is, and few are going to buy her 'poor little me' routine. Her best chance is to shut up and look scared. Deborah Meadon, by contrast, does seem to have just enough vulnerability about her to win over some who find her ridiculously pompous on Dragon's Den, and to her credit she looks like she's genuinely having fun, but she's not good enough to go more than three or four weeks. It probably doesn't help that the stupid VT packages each week will keep reminding people she's filthy rich.

Mark Benton is surprisingly light on his feet and is a likeable chap (Early Doors was a wonderful sitcom). Dave Myers is really the entertainer of the show and will surely go on a Widdy-like run.

Ellis Bextor is quite capable of going far, but she's another one who lacks warmth; the viewers tend to snub that sort even when they dance well.

The Corrie woman could do well, but I have absolutely no idea as to who she is save the fact that she used to be on a soap. The same goes for the Hollyoaks bloke - to go far both of them will have to charm viewers with their personalities.


Susanna Reid is a great prospect: men love her, and women like her, too. She's got a great personality, she looks like she's loving it and she seems to be pretty good at dancing - surely at least set to end up in the final.

I think Myers is from Cumbria, so he's not the Geordie, Si King is the Geordie, the sidekick....
