So much to do... so little time... 11 Years, 9 Months ago
Frantically trying to read most of the six Booker prize finalists (just starting the fifth) but have to proof read my OWN new novel (out December) this weekend as well as complete the packaging for our UK Records - 80 great hits from the 60s and 70s - package.

Add social dinners, lunches, breakfasts, teas...

Plus domestic stuff (cleaning, sorting, answering mail etc)...

There's simply so much to do...

Clearly good JK.

You need a good junior housemate.

I don't know why you're so obsessed with the Booker Prize. An awful lot of tat gets shortlisted over the years and its even more political than music biz awards.

It's a good way to keep up with new fiction; some years are good (the Stella Rimmington year was fantastic - all 6 were great) - if they are bad I stop after about 100 pages...

I fear I've given up on keeping up. It feels too much like a chore. I'd rather cover more of the classics I haven't already read.

I try to do both Pru but still have many classics awaiting my time! And so far none of the Booker finalists can hold a torch to Le Carre's A Delicate Truth, best novel of the year by miles.
