I'm getting more and more impressed by him; his interviews are very good; he's a regular on BBC Brekkie. His chat with Tom Hanks was very good. Tom (like me) is now Type 2 Diabetic. Isn't everyone? Occupational hazard of making it past 60.

His new movie looks great - I think Greengrass is the best action director around... Captain Phillips.

I hear he's well-liked by his colleagues. Yes, he's improving all the time (as is Clive Myrie), although if he stopped looking quite so tetchy he'd be even more effective. Carrie Gracie, for example, is so much better since she returned to work mainly because she's stopped doing that Anna Ford-style world-weariness and has relaxed.
