Oh for god's sake, doesn't he know that Jim was universally loved and adored? What's WRONG with the human race (at least the part that didn't universally love him)??

People understandably get so nervous when your neighbour's field catches fire... sparks fly.

Anyone facing trial should subpoena top cops to the witness stand and ask how many of the numerous complaints they get about everything come from unhinged loonies. After hearing from half a dozen Chiefs, any jury would acquit.

I'm thinking though, you're on some minor daytime TV show & the "interviewer" asks a difficult question. In this case (the usual question) "What did you personally think of Jimmy Savile?" In the Blackburn's case, the answer should of been "I didn'r actually know the man well. Not many did. So I can not comment on him personally".

Perhaps Blackburn is frightened of them digging back into the suicide victim of 1971 & a diary, where 3 presenters were mentioned. Work it out for yourself. But during 1971, only 3 people presented Top Of The Pops, during 1971. One of them was going out with a 13 year old (& later married her). Another has been mentioned & the other is dead. Holy smoke Blackburn! In a case (such as this) shut up. Don't be a Wogan, Gambaccini, Rantzen or Street Porter.

Be aware of the agenda at play = there's an anniversary coming up, and words are being twisted in the tabloids in the run-up. First Dee Dee of Pan's People in the Heil, not the original Teflon Tony.
In this instance he basically only said he never saw anything or knew of anything, and that the allegations were 'horrendous' (which they are).
Aside from being a fine one to talk about being well-liked with his colleagues (Tony spent a good 10 years in an early mid-life crisis sulking and burning his bridges) he's said very little. This time!

Watching it again, Bannockburn looks like a rabbit caught in the headlights. Which is exactly what he is.

The media agenda is clear that this is currently headline news.

Teflon's rather thick and reactionary, but also rather god at the old PR game.

as JK says..the Stalinist Revision of recent history is underway which is why the Soviet Union won the Cold War and Germany actually won WW2 (look at them !..60 years later and the most powerful in Europe)

ONCE AGAIN IT REMINDS OF THE REPUTED CLAIM THAT kRUSCHEV ONCE ASKED jfk.."HOW DO YOU MAKE YOUR JOURNALISTS WRITE WHAT YOU WANT ?..WE HAVE TO THREATEN POURS WITH JAIL"

(sorry about caps but I can;t go over and rewrite it)

and of course Bertrand Russell who predicted in the 1950s..the West and the East would gradually become like each other and pass some point in the night where they are the same but continue on as capitalism become communism etc etc....or words to that effect
