Not a good move for Dave on Strictly 11 Years, 9 Months ago
They are trying to make him look normal and dance proper - serious mistake. He's far better making a fool of himself and not caring.

Yes, the twits in the production team are trying to take him on one of their inane 'journeys'. He doesn't need to do anything but more of the same. Change the staging, keep the act.

I do despair sometimes at the direction on this show. The spectacle is really well done, but the director doesn't seem to realise that if you're showing movement, you don't need to keep moving the camera. They showed a Fred Astaire movie earlier - no camera cuts during the dances, which you saw in toto. Some of the dances on Strictly are impossible to judge because they flit from close up to medium shot to overhead, etc etc, and it's chaos visually.

Anyway, to the spoiler:

Warning: Spoiler!

Actually, JK, I get the feeling watching the programme that Dave himself has rather gotten in to the idea of trying to win the show these days. He really seems to be trying to improve which I grant you is a shame as (poor lad) he will never be a ballroom dancer as long as there is life on earth. His calamitous and HUGELY entertaining earlier dances are now gradually being replaced by simply rotten dancing from a guy who seems desperate to do better. That is sad and far less entertaining...

Poor Dave, he should stick to biking and cookery!

He's not trying to win. He isn't stupid. He's trying not to be kicked off the show. That's quite different.

I wish he'd go on being loveably barking. By the way, Pru, appreciate your tips (and the Warning Spoiler - please keep putting them up!).
