"Is this a replay of the Jimmy Savile case where we only take action once the offender has deceased"

mere allegations are now enough...

The next step will be to speed up the process by killing the accused right away!

yet I usually agree with change.org 99% of the time...but with allegations about sex I have encountered a total brick wall with people who are usually very intelligent about most things.

I believe the 'Savilisation' of allegations possibly one of the most dangerous shifts in British life and it will get much worse if not nipped in the bud.

It is unique.

I recall a case in NSW about 10 years ago when a number of people were arrested on 'historic ' allegations but the law time limits from the period- 20 years earlier, prevented prosecution and the media went haywire and politicians began considering, and announced new back dated laws to punish those questioned.

The entire legal fraternity including judges and magistrates joined a chorus of howling down the ignorant politicians until they backpedaled.

I doubt the same would happen today- the media completely intimidates any lawyer who dares speak out of turn and the pollies jump to attention.

Anyone that doesn't appear to hold the 'correct' view today seems to get sacked...
