Generally a highly original and often funny series; I've enjoyed it.

Geeky bloke gets caught up with funny bloke in a weird misunderstanding that takes them off on a mad caper. That's not highly original. That's the kind of thing you can see in about 15% of the Hollywood movies that get released each year.

No but they did it in a very funny way, sending up the genre and deliberately mocking the format. I really liked it.

But that whole genre is a send-up genre. That's how it began. That's what those comedy movies do. All Corden seems to have done is watch one late at night whilst covered in crisps, and thought to himself, 'I could copy this and just relocate it to England!' Maybe he'll re-do Midnight Run next and set in Oswestry. I think the Cowell factor has made people oblivious to lazy rip-offs.
