I bet you any money you like that when the person who did this is found they won't -

1. have been working part-time to fund their education
2. they won't have been supporting family overseas
3. they won't have any qualifications (or a job !)
4. they certainly could NEVER get a job as an IT consultant.

When someone is arrested I'm sure you will form a queue to insist he's been falsely accused LOL !

I think you are probably right about the type of person who committed this crime, but it is polite to not assume.

I sgree with ITK, not everyone the dole is scum but these are, each have different circumstances why they unemployed.

The local TV news gave a little more details than the lick I supplied.

Apparently the man was about to make his last ever pizza delivery and his car was actually outside the delivery address when he was killed.

Neither the pizza nor his money (from previous deliveries) was stolen - so robbery was clearly not the motive.

Could of been a drug deal he made earlier, or assault he did, I think in my mind they knew each other.

Not everyone claiming benefits is a potential murderer and not every murderer was on benefits, Harold Shipman wasn't, that nurse that killed a lot of her patients for attention Beverly Allott wasn't, Myra Hindley & Ian Bradey weren't, Fred West wasn't & I don't think Ian Huntley was on benefits either.

Some murderers are on benefits, but plenty are not...

Agree. Ian Huntley was school caretaker and Dennis Nilsen work at the Job Centre.

South Yorkshire Police said a 17-year-old man was arrested on Thursday evening and would soon be questioned.

A 25-year-old has also been detained on suspicion of murder.

I don't think it matters or adds anything to the tragedy whether he was employed, foreign, male, female, gay, straight, Muslim or Moonie. He was a killer and that's the problem. Too many people these days ignore the individual; it's so much easier to lump them into a category. People do things for very different reasons and let's not fall for the silly though easy trap of saying - "he had ginger hair so let's lock up all ginges".

True, motives vary as do the perpetrators,they can come from many walks of life...
