Thanks Pru; can't yet put up my thoughts without Spoiling (will do later, after broadcast) but...
Might I once more repeat my praise for the singers, orchestra and arranger (and sound balance people)... my favourite thing about Strictly is the high quality of the music (diito it's my least favourite thing about X Factor/BGT).

Yes, a couple of the singers are so versatile and impressive. Tommy Blaize is probably my fave. I was having a friendly argument with a few people the other day about this - they were saying how awful the singers were and why couldn't the show use the original songs etc. I wonder if people are just not used to 'untouched' live music and singing these days and they don't think its 'real'. I gather the singers often only get the song list on the morning of the show - which makes the polished performances all the more admirable.

I first saw Claudia Winkleman when she hosted the 90's late-night gropefest God's Gift after Davina McCall
I don't hear either of them mention that show much now for some reason....

Dave lost all his sparkle and his dances became just bad and no longer funny, so it was right he went.
Pru, if you bump into the singers, musos and arranger, please pass on my compliments. I know just how hard it is to be good under those circumstances and they are terrific, almost every time.
