Secret Service killed Kennedy ? 11 Years, 8 Months ago
Fascinating programme on C5 last night - which did a cold case reconstruction (never before done) of ALL the evidence surrounding the JFK assassination, and concluded that there were 2 shooters.

Lee Harvey Oswald was probably responsible for the first 2 bullets (neither of which were fatal) but the killer shot was fired by accident by a SS guard in the following car.

Then followed a massive cover-up (including faked X Rays).

Many of the witnesses (including 5 SS men in the following car) were never called to give evidence at the Warren Commission.

The man who fired the fatal shot - and was named - died in 2005.

....and I've said before, conspiracy theories work like this, they cold case, they propose new theories as fact, they disregard large portions of the true bits from official reports without explaining them away, and they invariably always name a 'dead' person as the culprit....................

Until somebody finds the written confession of the asassin..............

the oddest alleged assassin.

supposedly shoots the president and then goes home and collects a pistol (didn't have it with him ???) and goes to a movie show.

unlike other killers who always gives reasons, denies culpability.

about the only thing I really believe about the JFK assasination is Oswald saying he was a patsy.

I find the Jack Ruby ingredient interesting. Anyone intrigued without being bothered should read the excellent Stephen King novel.

But the theory is not new. Ballistic experts have been saying for years that the fatal bullet was not from Oswald, and we always knew that people smelled gunpowder in the street.
The only surprise is that they said it was an accident.

We all know the Government were behind it just like 9-11, Pearl Harbour, 7-7 and Diana, David Kelly. I read a book about John Lennon death, saying it could of been a conspiracy but I'm not convinced.

Oswald doesn't flee. he goes home and then to the movies (the cop shooting was very suspect)

Oswald was basically a lefty and expressed admiration for Kennedy. He would know LBJ takes over..why would he want LBJ ?

And the missing brain...the missing Oswald interrogation notes....the missing Kennedy autopsy film. And the carwashed crime scene.

Oswald’s lack of motive. Johnson’s big motive and his long-time acquaintance, fifteen years, with Ruby

who killed JFK ???..no idea but Oswald ?...give me a break.

His IQ was average but he was emotionally unstable as a child.

Re:Secret Service killed Kennedy ? 11 Years, 8 Months ago
The Mafia had the best reason for killing him and I always prefer this theory. Someone fired one shot at Kennedy from the book depository - the other was from an area near the 'grassy knoll'.
Kennedy's dad bought the Mafia vote, promising favours. Kennedy gets in and allows his brother to start cracking down on them. Kennedy also refuses to re-invade Cuba and enable the Mafia to get their assets back. No other President has betrayed the Mafia in this way and that's why they wanted to get back at him and Joe Kennedy. This theory also explains the Oswald killing by mafia associate Ruby (who had a terminal illness) to stop him talking. Ruby quietly waits until he dies.

Mystery solved! Maybe....

Aren't there loads of documents and articles becoming declassified in relation to this in a few years time??

Quite right, honey!

The SS man was reaching for the gun - already loaded and cocked - which was on the floor of the following vehicle, after he heard the first 2 shots. As he grabbed the gun and started to turn - it went off.

Don't you find it mildly amusing that all these others - who clearly didn't watch the programme - all have an opinion about it?

Indeed ... by removing the main suspect the chances of ever getting the truth were much diluted (which is possibly what the SS wanted?)

You mean like the 8 rolls of film taken at the autopsy (which have all now disappeared !)

... or the President's brain (which has also disappeared !)

Sadly, I also missed the programme so it makes it hard to comment as ITK points out. All I can say is that it is possible that the SS carried out the deed because Kennedy had made serious enemies of the FBI's J Edgar Hoover and had threatened to 'smash the C.I.A. into a million pieces' over ( I believe) a failure to do with the Bay Of Pigs incident.

The real truth ( if anyone even truly knows it!) I doubt will ever come out. My own personal opinion from what I have seen and heard so far is that Lee Harvey Oswold took no part in the shooting whatsoever. He was purely involved as 'the patsy' and had long been set up for the role. From the footage of the shooting I have on video I also find it hard to believe that the fatal shot that killed president Kennedy came from behind him. If you notice in the film, when shot Kennedy falls backwards - he does not slump forwards as you would expect him to do if he was shot with a high velocity weapon from behind.

Still, its all conjecture and there will remain as many theories and possible scenarios to the Kennedy assassination as to how poor Marilyn Monroe died...

I will try and catch the programme online ITK.

What I find hardest to understand (if Oswald was innocent) is why he fled the bookstore depository after the shooting?

All the other staff had been allowed out onto the street (to see the President) and then returned to work. In fact, when the police came to the building a roll call (of staff) was made and only Oswald was missing.

Remember, that when he was first arrested it was (for many hours) only in connection with the shooting of police officer Tippett (totally un-connected with the Kennedy assassination).

It seems strange that anyone who would plan an assassination so well (if he did) did not plan (at all?) for eventualities after the shooting had taken place?

Kennedy's death "broke" The Beatles in the USA ? 11 Years, 8 Months ago
A five minutes segment of the phenomenon of Beatlemania (in the UK) was aired on CBS Morning News on Nov 22nd 1963. It was due to be repeated that evening on the main news - but all programming was disrupted by the assassination earlier that day of JFK. (The segment was finally aired on Dec 10th)

For the next month the whole USA was in virtual mourning.
Then a lone radio station (Washington's WWDC) played an advance copy of "I Want To Hold Your Hand" on Dec 17th (not due for release until mid-January). The audience response was overwhelming - and the station was bombarded with calls for repeat plays. It was as if America had "woken up".

Demand spread prompting Capitol Records to bring forward the release date. It sold one million copies in 10 days, and topped the charts just a few days prior to The Beatles first US visit (to play the Ed Sullivan show.

By May 1964 the Beatles had the entire Top 5 singles in the US Charts.
