Delighted he gives so much credit to Ivan Lendl; I remember calling Simon Fuller and telling him Andy would now be a World Champion when Lendl came on board.
I'm glad he's done so well but there's still a sense that when the British do actually win something they fall apart. Other countries seem to have sportsmen who win once and then push on and dominate. We get ones, rarely, only for them to suffer physical collapses, loss of motivation and crises of confidence. Look at that Jonny Wilkinson fellow - a star winning the world cup, and then a neurotic, injury-prone basket case. Hopefully Andy will come back and defy that pattern.
Clive Woodward got knighted, Johnny Wilkinson OBE and Martin Johnson CBE for playing Rugby. Give one to my milkman a MBE he arrives on time every week and gives my dog treats.
