The "slaves" actually walked out the house (no locks on door then) a month ago wearing their 'invisable handcuffs' after phoning an "antislavery charity" and after watching a TV program (no restrictions on viewing the media then).

It demonstrates he all persuasive and totally bent media : ITK will read any report and glean and accept from it the bits that re-inforce his own prejudices even though he may recognise some parts are balderdash.

You are quite right in that I have been suspicious of this "case" from the start - and the lack of progress indicates that the police don't know how to proceed either !
