Blair was obsessed with targets, so nothing has changed.

It probably started off with them being told that if they don't find enough people jobs they will be fired, which is fair enough, and through a combination of Chinese whispers and unscrupulous workers trying to save their skins the message has been corrupted.

(I'm told that "Chinese whispers"is a racist term these days

)

Thing is Honey there is not much work around, JC staff don't find you work they tell you what you already know, work programme is a joke you just sit in a office for 2 hours applying for the same jobs you did the day before.
