I would rather have no lights than have them switched on at the end of flipping September!

Nothing changed there, several years ago it reported not all the lights worked.

living in a hot climate..Xmas lights are a bit half-hearted. Someone's house always burns down.

You need lights in July Hedda - with Marianne's Summer Nights instead of Jingle Bells.

Best lights? Winter Wonderland here on Park Lane in London looks absolutely tremendous in December. Reminiscent of the Tivoli Gardens in Copenhagen (where I was last May).

A woman from Derby is planning to take revenge on her husband after he sent her a mocked up letter from East Midlands Airport telling her their Christmas lights were interfering with air-traffic control.

..... don't they look horrendous ?

That is hilarious. I don't have anything on the front of my own house but I do enjoy everyone else's. The More pogo-ing snowmen they can cram on their lawns the happier I am.

I've heard you can get a reduction in your Council Tax if you have to live opposite anything so horrendous !

Do these people actually know what Christmas is all about ?
