I don't think they hopped over from various countries to protest about booze so this IS their country, and if Muslims want to ignore the (possible?) customs of their religion by having off licenses they jolly well can.
Making threats of violence(if the bit about the lashing is true) will hopefully be dealt with like any other crime.

When the EDL protest they get moved on, labelled as racist and Nazi's. When Muslims protest nothing happens they get away with it. If Halal meat was banned God knows what violence will erupt, so why do they find booze offensive if they don't drink it ?

England is swept under the rug, EU don't want to exist,

Sure the government want a Civil War.

No reply? How about protesting about non-smoking tobacconists, then. Ought our off licenses be prohibited trading places for teetotalers? Adults selling childrens' toys? Should my local buthcher be thrown on the street because, while being a purveyor of meat he's a vegetarian? The bloke who retails fashions for ladies? Or don't the EDL worry about them.
By the way, the reason EDL are labelled as racist is nothing to do with off licenses. It has more to do with them being racists. Try Google Images for EDL to see lots of pictures of shirtless members sporting swastika tattoos. Not Nazis? Don't make me laugh.

So that's why you reckon it wouldn't be so bad had Germany won the war.

And its also their choice what to feed their children. Meat is not the only source of protein and there is no evidence of a vegetarian diet being harmful.

Anyway... The family in the story are not vegetarian.
