He is in a no-win situation .... He would be berated as "uncaring" if he didn't turn up

he's PM- the buck stops with him.

that's his job- to get everything in the country working.

although he isn't responsible for the previous lot privatising everything (on the ludicrous lie that it all works better when privately owned) he would have applauded the sell-off of state assets (ie : those owned by you)

so of course it's his bloody fault he runs a government that can put a missile into a Pakistan village and kill a person but can't get your lights s working.
