That's Margate in a nut shell. 
Margate high street has struggled because of the large shopping center Westwood Cross.High streets in general have been loosing out to out of town shopping for years anyway.
Shops go through phases anyway.You can't move for charity shops now,but back in the 80s estate agents and weird banks were all the rage.

you will soon find, as in Melbourne & Sydney that all roads lead to Westfield.
High Street parking will become limited or non-existent.
And once in Westfield you will never find your car again. Believe me, my late friend planned all these strategies for the Lowys.  |
