Its no worse than listening to Martin Lewis on the radio.....some people need proper reminders and rent isn't free, so if it isn't correctly prioritised, the council or housing association are not doing their debt collection or revenue protection properly.......good idea in my view.

Rent should not be lower on the priority listthan Christmas, regardless of this modern sharing caring world (that nobody seems to wnat to pay for)

Rent is definately free if your a pregnant 15/16 year old. So, is Council Tax & the council don't seem to bothered that the father maybe living you, without the council knowing.Luckily gas, electricity, water & a telephone ain't free.... (if you can find anyone daft enough to give it to you - "foodbanks" - so you can spend your food money on a new mobile !)

It don't work like that ITK. Where do you get your information from ? Even dolers are now paying council tax. When you see dolers with expensive phones normally they are gifts from parents, stolen from back from lorry or on HP. Are you implying that a lot of "dolers" are thieves?

or get credit they cant afford?

The only phones I know that have "cachet" are pointless without the "internet package" so I'm not sure what the point of giving one as a gift would be?

Not at all Honey. Just a few of them which is tiny percentage, our local Brighthouse customers are from the job centre and what kids want parents buy. My phone is old but still works well it has no internet or camera. Pattaya will clarify what Thanet is like.
