Everyone knows how difficult it is to get a new complex (national) computer system to work - ask Labour, they lost zillions before scrapping every single one that they started !

A-ha, but he may have declared himself bankrupt for ease to sort out his finances. Everybody should declare themselves bankrup at some point in their lives. If you're bankrup, no one but no one can touch you, especially the vampires known as tax men. Mike Read declared himself bankrupt twice & he's still in work...Go figure.

I see great advantages in having bankrupt MPs as at least they have experienced how survival in a rampant corporate/capitalist system that takes no prisoners is often out of their control.

perhaps they will have empathy for others.
