The DLT allegations...

I would not for a second dream of condoning the alleged behaviour of Dave Lee Travis (groping), claimed in court today, and he was no friend of mine during my years at Radio 1. If true, it's disgraceful. And pathetic.

But, on a number of occasions, women have pinched my bum - in bars, at work and, astonishingly, once even by a policewoman on the Isle of Man. More than once I have also had my crotch grabbed.

Should I, following these incidents, which I felt were ridiculous but insignificant, have gone to the police to make complaints of sexual assault?

Interesting one, isn't it? And I'd be happy to go on Woman's Hour to discuss it.

An excellent point well made I think. I'm glad it has been pointed out that women are as capable of groping as men are! The truth is that the sexual urge in all of us is a very powerful thing - how we deal with it in certain situations or under the influence of drink or drugs is not an exact science. This said, there ARE genuine victims of sexual harassment/abuse that need protection and deserve justice...

The accuser "IMAGINES" there was a "sort of panic going on" when DLT had his hands on her breasts for TEN SECONDS with permission.
She was there. Doesnt she remember?

All evidence is shady, just one word against theirs.

A teacher kissed me on head once and sadly only once.

I had my shoulders caressed by a 6th forum girl in 1992 at a school in Birmingham.
This girl was known as a flirt she'd flirt with ALL THE BOYS, NO ONE WAS OFF LIMITS!

I remember feeling uncomfortable at the time and gently brushed her off (probably enjoy it today!)
Another time she flirted in the corridor and offered herself to me, when i turned her down she
said "Are you frigid or something?"

But seriously this girl was known as a tart and would offer to do homework for money, i remember
at least one person being offered that.

No problem. You can complain half a century after the grope. No further proof is needed for a conviction.

Stuart Hall was actually convicted, and Jimmy Saville escaped only because he is already dead.
