Very good but I didn't like it much. Christian Bale is superb (I've always liked him, ever since Empire of the Sun, a very under rated movie) as is Amy Adams (but I preferred Doubt) and Jennifer Lawrence who I'm really admiring these days (America's best new young actress). It's kind of a US version of our beloved TV series. Some very funny moments; deserves Best Hair Award; lots to praise but just not really my kind of film (as, I'm dreading, 12 Years A Slave).

Do want to see it, reminds me of The Grifters underrated movie.

By the way, you know me, one of the very good things is great use of good music.

I'm surprised it got so many nominations. It was okay, but really nothing exceptional.
