inane anti-Semtism....my mother was Jewish (which officially means you are...old Jewish joke- 'you know who your mother is but not always your father ') but I look decidedly Aryan and have often had people make extreme ant-Jewish comments to me in the expectation I would agree.

Got abused once on a beach in Ibizia with then blonde (Irish) girlfriend :"bloody Germans always get the best spots early"..another day.."Hitler would have loved those two"..err no..would have sent me off on a train to hell.

It's the moronic caricatures that trolls follow that amuse me. From "Jew" or "n****r" insults changed to "Jew lover" or "N***** lover". Now it's mere gestures - and, because the objects of the insults over react (understandably - they used to get killed for their religion or skin colour), the liberals get hysterical... doing, often, more harm than good. The poor trolls brains are so tiny they can only use standard insults (about mothers or children - "bastards"... - the ancient one of CUCKOLD appears to have fallen out of fashion).

I'm constantly amazed that any recipient cares what the insulters say. For me, it used to be NONCE. Never worried me in the slightest. Why would it?

By smearing anyone who offers any criticism they diflect most criticism before it even appears.

I've never yet met anyone who approves of Israeli tactics in the Holy Land - but most just stay quiet - too afraid of being called an anti-semite (which is funny because there are, always were and always will be, more semitic Arabs than Jews !)

I guess its not just Palestinian land that they have "acquired"

I love quenelles - frequently served in stock or soup; delicious filled with a mousse; shaped like a small curved arm, which is where I suppose the gesture got its name.

Technically, these days, a quenelle refers to a shape rather than a thing, hence its use for ice cream, mash and dumplings. So I can see what the gesture is called that, but the pics of people doing it outside Auschwitz, for example, suggests an intention that doesn't require Roland Barthes to decipher.
