Stan Collymore fights back! 11 Years, 5 Months ago
Glorious watching him live on BBC TV not letting a slack interviewer get away with calling him a criminal when he's discussing online death threats. He was talking about police activity on online trolls when she hinted about him getting on the wrong side of the law. He wouldn't let her get away with the lazy insinuation. Good for him.

She's lucky he didn't beat her up. That's how he usually deals with it.

Amazing court case with two trolls being convicted and facing jail for sending death threats... to the woman who championed putting Jane Austen on a £10 note.
What on earth induces someone to threaten someone like that?
I have to admit, trolls are quite beyond my comprehension. Another planet. Another species from another universe.

It is how he dealt with it once. Since then he has had help and presumably is a lot different now.

Trolls just want to be noticed. I've always found it peculiar that people get turned on by insulting people but, like other mentally afflicted people, their motivation is rather incomprehensible to the sane.

I've noticed that, what do they possibly get out of offending people like that? Especially when what they say sometimes either isn't even true, exaggerated, irrelevant or could equally apply to them...

The problem with Collymore is that he trolls himself. He says things knowing full well he will get a reaction out of them. Some people don't have the media training that Collymore has had (badly it seems) and will say things to get a reaction out of him, when that happens, he cries foul.
