Appalling sex abuse at North East borstal 30 years ago... 11 Years, 6 Months ago

By a dead man I notice... quite ghastly and three cheers to the media for highlighting it. Mind you, the media seems not to wonder why all this sudden historical abuse is getting discovered. And they dare not hint that it might be possible the claims have been exaggerated or inflated or even, God forbid, invented. Not even unintentionally. I suppose the media knows that memories do not ever change, that media does not encourage or simply provoke delusion. The media knows more than us uninformed individuals. And it is, after all, a good story.
We should encourage compensation to these poor abused old men. A far better use of our tax monies than hospitals, schools, police, benefits...
Let's shut down the NHS, police stations (and the BBC while we're about it) and give our tax monies and licence fees to all the poor, abused elderly who are suddenly remembering they were goosed by a vicar, doctor, foster parent, comedian or prison officer 45 years ago when they were 15.
That makes sense, doesn't it? Thank God we're all so balanced.

Isn't it amazing that within a couple of weeks since a BBC documentary about abuse, over 200 people who have never previously mentioned it, have suddenly remembered that they had been abused whilst at Medomsley Detention Centre (by two people who are conveniently dead):

I'm sure I was there ! - memory fading - I'm sure I was !
10% cut (of the compo) to anyone who can help me remember (ie back me up)?
