TOPIC: I'm deeply ashamed
#110113
I'm deeply ashamed 11 Years, 5 Months ago
I just knew all 5 Chancellors of the Exchequer on Pointless - and I don't care who is in that pointless job. Norman Lamont was at Cambridge with me (though I don't remember him - apparently we had dinner several times), Woy Jenkins is in my era but Stafford Cripps? That was before I was born (I think)!

It's his fabulous name that sticks in the mind. You'd just have to wear a wing collar with that name.

Memories are peculiar things. I would have thought Norman Lamont would be easy to recall.
I used to have a fat hamster called Norman Lamont.

I guess JK you just missed Tony Hendra, didn't you, at Cambridge? Strangely little known in this country but the creator of Spitting Image as well as the cricket bat wielding manager of Spinal Tap. Interesting man.
