Bob Stanley in "Yeah Yeah Yeah" (his highly recommended book about the history of pop 1950-2000):
"One of Jonathan King’s better musical gags was to try and bridge this real or imagined divide by recording a heavy-rock version of ‘Sugar, Sugar’ under the name Sakkarin - it was convincing and danceable enough to reach number twelve in 1971."
